SenseCAP S2100 Data Logger/DTU can connect to MODBUS-RTU RS485/Analog/GPIO sensors and transmit data from sensors to the LoRaWAN network. Benefits from LoRa and IP66 design, this device features stability and reliability and can cover a long transmission range while keeping ultra-low power consumption, ideal for outdoor use.
It is specifically optimized for OTA with built-in Bluetooth, which enables quick setup and update. It can be battery-powered or connected to a 12V external power supply. When the 12V power supply is connected, the replaceable built-in battery is set to be used as the backup power supply. What's more, with the help of S2110 converter, S2100 Data Logger/DTU is able to connect to Grove Sensor, it is an ideal solution for developing, fast prototyping, and small deployment for DIY Industrial level LoRaWAN Sensors.
It can cover a transmission range of 2km in urban scenes and 10km in line-of-sight scenes while keeping lower power consumption during the transmission process. It supports -40 ~ 85℃ operating temperature and can be deployed in harsh environments. With Bluetooth 5.0 for easy configuration and firmware upgrade, It is also compatible with a wide range of frequencies(863MHz ~928MHz), different gateways, and LoRaWAN network servers.
Highlighted Features
- Strong Compatibility with different Sensors: supports all MODBUS-RTU RS485/Analog(4~20mA/0~10V) / GPIO(level/pulse) sensors.
- Compatible with Worldwide LoRaWAN® Networks: Compatible with LoRaWAN® V1.0.3 protocol and can work with LoRaWAN® gateway. (support the universal frequency plan from 863MHz ~928MHz).
- Long Range & replaceable Battery powered: With LoRaWAN® wireless transmission, S2100 supports 19Ah built-in battery and external 12V DC to supply devices, an ultra-wide-transmission range of 2km in urban scenes, and a 10km in line of sight scenes.
- Designed to Use in Harsh Environments: -40℃ ~ 85℃ operating temperature and IP66-rated enclosure, suitable for outdoor use, high UV exposure, heavy rain, dusty conditions, etc.
- Remote configuration and management: Seeed provides SenseCAP Mate APP and SenseCAP Portal, which allows users to remotely manage data and configure.
Scan-and-Play: Easy Configuration via Bluetooth in Just 3 min
The Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 has reduced many configurations works, no need for connecting it to your computers or complicated wiring. You can easily configure the device in 4 steps:
- Connect the sensor to the data logger by screwing
- Connect App to Data Logger via Bluetooth
- Set Parameters using Mate APP: Protocol, Power Supply, Data Parsing, etc
- Check data on Mate APP or Web Portal
Support Industrial Sensors of Different Interfaces
The Mate APP allows you to configure Seeed's sensor parameters with one click to convert them to different types of LoRa sensors. It can also save the sensor parameters you configured as a template, which can be applied to the new data logger for deploying more sensors. You can download the APP here: 1. iOS; 2. Google Play; 3. App Center
S2100 LoRaWAN Data Logger is a single-channel collector, and only supports one of the following protocols at one time:
- RS485: Support standard RS485 Modbus-RTU protocol
- Analog: 2 x 0~10V or 2 x 4~20mA.
- GPIO: 1 x GPIO, collect level or pulse signal
Support 2 Power Supply Modes: 19Ah built-in battery and 12V DC
When you use low-power sensors, the data logger can work in Periodic mode. Powered by a built-in 19Ah Li-SOCl2 battery, it can be installed and deployed without additional power.
When you use a sensor with high power consumption, the data logger can work in Constant Power mode to use an external 12V DC power supply.
Compatible with Global LoRaWAN® Network
LoRaWAN® network coverage is required when using sensors. S2100 can be connected to different LoRaWAN® gateways. Here are 2 options for choosing the LoRaWAN® network:- Option 1: Sensors work in areas covered by Helium Network (Check on Helium Explorer). You can check the SenseCAP M1 and SenseCAP M2.
- Option 2: Sensors work in a standard LoRaWAN® network, like The Things Network, Loriot, Chirpstack, etc. You can check the SenseCAP Outdoor Gateway and the SenseCAP M2 Multiplatform Gateway.
Applications
S2100 LoRaWAN Data Logger can quickly turn a wired sensor into a wireless sensor. At the same time, if your project needs more LoRa sensors, you can also use this data logger to quickly build the sensor you want.
